we haven't done of of these in a while ![]()
i was at B&N this weekend and added the Kid's Club to my rewards card, i just got a 30% one item code so i need a good book rec
what we got from B&N:
Tigger's Giant Lift the Flap book- M loves opening flaps in books thsi one has 80! counting, alphabet, shapes etc. it should keep him buys for a while and it's old school Pooh illustrations which i love.
How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight- cute book, big illustrations not too much text
and two Halloween books, a Backyardigans one and one i forgot the name of- but both had lots of flaps to open- lol!
from amazon i ordered:
Switching on the Moon: A Very First Book of Bedtime Poems cute book, i read a few poems to M but mostly we just looked at the pictures
Nighttime Nursery Rhymes (A Bedtime Shadow Book) the book pages have a window you can shine a flashlight though to make a picture on the wall- haven't tried it yet with M, i was a little dissapointed int he nursery rhymes- i didn't recognize most of them, there is also a Christmas version that might be cuter.
Re: children's book poll
oh i just LOOOOVE Its Time to Sleep my Love. Its soooo sweet.
I have about a bazillion books I want to buy for Eve.. she's sort of moving beyond board books and I want to get her a ton of picture books but they're so stinking expensive. She asks to read Dora books every night though.. blech.

Natalie Ruth - Born 6/13/11 7lb 6.6oz
i have three of the Nancy Tillman books: Time to Sleep My Love, Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You, and On The Night You Were Born- love them all but i've only read On The Night You Were Born once and i cried my eyes out
FYI her new book The Crown on Your Head just came out this week... !!
Whenever we go to Marshall's or TJMaxx I spend a lot of time going through the books there because you can usually find a couple picture books at great prices!
Right now Chelsea loves anything by Mo Willems, any Fancy Nancy, any Olivia, and any Dr. Seuss. She is also starting to like non-fiction, we usually grab a few at the library (mostly about animals or bugs).
