WARNING: Super emotional prego needs to vent

Ladies...I really just need to vent. I moved here about a year and a half ago for a job opportunity and just got laid off in May. So I have not made many friends. Jeremy my fiancee is the best but I need some "girl time". I've been super emotional lately and feeling really lonely. I am 11 weeks pregnant and have been searching for a job since I have been laid off but nothing has come up. So I have ALOT of time on my hands. 

I am a first time mom and really nervous about everything. My family is back in Chicago (where I am from) and have gone back there at least once a month to visit.

So if there is any fellow  mom's interested in hanging out, taking a prenatal yoga class, or just meeting for coffee. Let me know. email me mbanderson79@gmail.com

    Hi Marybeth!

    What part of town are you in?

    I would highly highly recommend joining a mommy group. I just joined one and am SO SO SO happy I did! The girls are great! The do quite a bit of moms night out stuff so you don't even have to have a kid yet to join in the fun. Plus they can give you tons of tips on like registering, classes to take, places to go with the kiddo. 

    I left my job after my son was born and thought I'd meet all these other moms at swim lessons or story times, but people tend to be kinda closed off and very focused on their kids there. I was bummed. But the second I showed up at a playground meetup with these mom, I felt so welcome and like part of the crowd. I wish I'd done it sooner!

    Also, what kind of job are you looking for?

    Hi Marybeth,

     I'm from Chicago too!  I moved here nearly 3 years ago and it's not very easy to make friends once you're an adult.  I'm hoping to join a Mom's group to make some friends.  I'm taking a prenatal class at Yoga on High and love it!  The students and instructors are awesome!
