Keeping grilled cheese warm by lunch time...

My 3yo likes grilled cheese but he leaves at 7:30 for school and lunch is at 12.   I can cover with aluminum foil but I would think it would get cold by then and mushy??

  • Where is a good place to buy a thermos?  Target is out, and Bed Bath and Beyond says they don't carry them in their stores.  Also, the ones Target are out of are $15.  Is that right?  Seems a little pricey!

  • We bought a bunch of "food jars" thermos @ Target - they were like 10/each.

Walmart or Dicks would probably have them - any kind of camping store, etc. the grocery store might have them.

Yes, get a food jar by Thermos- they work great at keeping warm food pretty darn hot! You have to put boiling (I just use really, really hot from the tap most days) water in the food jar, close it, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before you dump it out and add the hot food- but, it will stay warm until lunch that way.

ditto this.  I didn't want to spend that much but gave it.  It is so incredibly sturdy and will last a lifetime.  Very worth the cost.
