Implantation Cramps

Did you have any? What were they like? Period like cramps? Twinges?

  • Mine were lighter than period cramps.  Similar to ovulation cramps.  I thought it was gas at one point but it didn't go away.  It was just a dull feeling.
  • I had cramping after implantation that was lighter than period cramps...

I told my doctor about some sharp, quick stabbing pain I had in my uterus area about 7-8 DPO ( I'd have to look at my calendar for the exact date)  ...it was so intense that it woke me up at 2AM...it was very quick...she told me this was implantation and the egg burrowing into my uterine lining. No bleeding or spotting ever though.

  • I had them, that's what caused me to test so early (I NEVER have cramps until the first day of AF, and I typically have a longer cycle).  They were not like AF cramps though -- more like gas pressure, only way low in my abdomen.
  • Mine were also like light period cramps (or at least, what I remember period cramps to be.  Didn't have them for the 15 years i was on BCP).  I thought I was getting my period, but got my BFP instead.  I've had these cramps throughout my pregnancy so far, which I guess is normal.

  • Mine were lighter than period cramps...but felt like cramps, I thought I was getting my period, so that's why I waited 9 days before taking a HPT.

  • I had tons of pressure a day or 2 after I had light pink CM. This was around 8 or 9 DPO for me.

  • I had them. They felt just like period cramps only went into my upper legs which never happens to me. It lasted several hours and came and went for the next couple of days.
  • Mine were like AF cramps but very concentrated in one spot.

  • Mine were actually worse than period cramps. In fact, I didn't test early, because I thought I was in for one doozy of a period, based on the pain. But when I didn't have any bleeding on the day I was supposed to, I tested then, and surprise! lol.

I actually continued with cramping well into my 6th week though, and was pretty nervous about it. According to my doc though, that was probably from my uterus starting to grow, plus some stretching & bloating, etc. Supposedly, it's actually considered normal. Not everyone gets it, but if they do, it isn't unusual.

I'm almost 8 weeks now, and I only get an occasional twinge; usually if my stomach has been "crunched" a little too much (like constantly bending to put groceries away/cleaning, etc). And I dont know whether it's all in my head, or there's an actual reason for it, but drinking a lot of water then seems to help stop the discomfort.

  • Mine were just like O pain. I had an O fake out the week before I O'ed so it started to make me think that maybe it was another fake out. I didn't identify it as implantation cramps until after my first + test. Also, just random about the spotting, but I get spotting a lot just before AF and of course you can only wish it is implantation spotting this time, but now that I'm KU, I actually had no spotting before BFP.
