Re: not too sure if im preg or not yet
We already told you on TTGP that you got your period. How many boards do you plan to post on?
If you have already talked to your doctor, why the hell would you ask a message board? And how can you be certain it wasn't your period?
Was my response rude? I wasn't meaning to be. I was just giving you my opinion based on my experience (I've had an exact same period/cycle when going off BCPs) and others' experience on the board. And, of course, I was unaware until now that you had spoken to your doctor about this and that she is concerned about ectopic/cysts.
If any one has had the same experience as you, hopefully they will post here. Most commonly what you described is an off cycle, so that was my first response, but keep us posted on what you find out. If it is ectopic/cysts, your experience could maybe help out someone else out with the same symptoms.

lolz at shart.
In that case, listen to your doctor. Test in a few days.
IB is rare and I have never heard of it being more than a few spots of blood on TP. It is caused from burrowing into the lining, and at that point it is microscopic. Could just be mid cycle bleeding.
And, regardless of how regular your cycles are, we all have off cycles now and then. Even the most regular women have an anovulatory cycle at least once a year... What do you use to chart? FF?
I think you need to edit your post to say that you spoke w/ your MD and that she is worried about ectopic pg or cysts. They could easily tell though if it was cysts by doing an u/s. I'm sorry it has taken you so long to get pg. GL
ROFL! thanks
You're not sure if you're pregnant?
Huh, we have a lot in common. I don't know whether you're pregnant either.
OP - we really don't know. It could be implantation bleeding, yes, but I really think it was just an off period for you. The only way to be sure is to wait and test when your period is due.
You asked for opinions and opinions were given. The ladies here did what you wanted them to do, you just didn't like what they had to say. I love how after they told you exactly what you didn't want to hear you came back with all this other information.
And from someone who has always had periods "like clockwork", it doesn't mean sh!t. There is always that crazy one...

If it was me I would take it as a light period. Periods can be wacky some months...heavy one very very light another.
I'm just wondering, how does the Dr know it wasn't your period? Is there a way they can tell?? If she can tell that can't he/she tell if you are pregnant?
Maybe I'm having a brain fart but I was just wondering.
It's a GIRL!
I don't think anyone should be as rude to you as they have been. If you and your doctor don't think it's your period, then wait and just take a test. And for the people who say that everyone has an 'unusual period' every now and then, for the past seven years I have been regular on my period, (every four weeks on the wednesday lasting until saturday, both being on and off of birth control) with the exception of when I stopped my birth control a day early (got my period a day early and immediately got pregnant). Not everyone's body is the same and implantation bleeding for that long is plausible.
Also, these boards are for support and people are allowed to ask on multiple boards to get different opinions..
I am giggling like a 14 year old boy here!! OP if your doctor is worried that it is ectopic did they schedule you for an u/s? All I can say is POAS in a few weeks.
When you say that your doctor doesn't know what it was, did she run any actual tests on you? (besides, I'm assuming, a pregnancy test? did she do a pelvic? an ultrasound? blood work?). If she didn't, then there is no way for her to know that it wasn't your period. And if she truly is thinking that it is an ectopic pregnancy I would think she would be more concerned and not do the "wait it out" approach.
Even with super regular cycles, we all get a funky one now and then (I know I did). I know how hard it can be when you have been trying for a long time and I hope you get your BFP soon. GL.
This is amazing and almost made me throw up from laughing.
All of this. I was hoping someone else picked up "shart" but that was better than I could've hoped.
OP, if your dr is sure it wasn't your period, why don't you ask her if it was implantation bleeding? What did she say it was?
edit: used wrong word.

This is my 2nd preg & I did have implantation bleeding this time. It was just a few days before my pd was due; very light spotting that was on/off for about 2 or 3 days. AF was due on the Tuesday after the bleeding, when I got nothing, I tested that Thurs & had a pos test.
I def suggest listening to your doc & waiting until the 20th (probably wait a few extra days as stress; aka: stressing over if you are or aren't preg; can postpone AF) & test again.
When you're anxious for a BFP, it's very hard to wait! I tested 3 diff times before talking myself into waiting until AFTER AF was due ^_^. Good luck!
