Hey everyone ![]()
I was wondering if any of you have tried chaste berry to help you get pregnant? I did a bunch of research and didn't seem like it could hurt anything. The insurance I have is better than nothing, but just barely, and doesn't cover anything even closely relating to infertility at all. So I decided it was time to start thinking outside the "hospital" box and looked into all natural stuff. Now I'm taking a supplement, twice a day, and my normal multi-vitamin. I've taken for a month now and have noticed a few changes, but nothing significant yet.
Anyone here try it? How did work? Did it work for you? How long did you take it? You know the normal questions lol I feel like I'm lost a sea and sinking. Just looking for a life line. Any life line will do at this point. I'm not proud or fussy anymore!
Re: Chaste berry question
Hey Julie581 -- I just started taking it myself, and had/have some of the same questions. I'm also trying the natural route...acupuncture, Chinese herbs, drinking tea, and I'm even going to go see a reiki practitioner. (Hey, it can't hurt).
I am taking Vitex/chasteberry to balance out my hormones...I haven't been officially tested, but my charting and crazy hormonal moodiness, etc., seems to indicate that I am estrogen-dominant, so I am hoping to increase my progesterone to balance out my estrogen. My acupuncturist recommended Vitex/chasteberry (I am also on a more general female fertility enhancement herbal blend). His main recommendations were:
--Take it steadily, it needs to build up over time, but do NOT take it during your period
--Try to find an organic brand (I couldn't), take it as directed on label
-- Discontinue use once you get a positive pregnancy test
I'll keep you updated on the results!
