Faint Pink Line?

My breasts have been extremely sore for a week, and I had a day of spotting last weekend, AF is due this weekend. Took a 1st Response test this morning and got a faint pink line, it's defiantly there, but lighter than the other line. Any one have this happen before? Sorry - I'm new to all of this so any insight would help! :-)

If you noticed the line within the correct time period then it sounds like you are pregnant. It doesn't matter if the result line is lighter than the control line. Congratulations!

That happened with my 1st pregnancy because I took the test as soon as I could...and got the faint pink line. Any line means you're prego because it's detecting the hormone, even if it's just barely there. Congrats!

Agreed, mine was very faint also.

It did not happen to me, but a friend of mine went through about 10 of those tests and the line was so faint it was hard to tell. She ended up getting a digital test that said "Pregnant" because she couldn't tell from the pink lines.

It also depends on how early you test because it is looking for the HCG hormone and the line should get darker if you test again in a few days.

The good news is that if it is there at all, you are PG. Congrats!

Yup. It sure did happen to me and I'm 6wks pregnant! Congratulations!

The first FRER I took the line was fairly faint.

This. Exactly! Happened to me. This is my first pregnancy, and I took 2 of those tests (with SUPER faint pink lines) until I bought a digital one too; which VERY clearly said "Pregnant"! Just had my first ultrasound yesterday- saw & heard the baby. So I'd say "Congratulations" to you!

Congrats! My was super faint too (almost nonexistent) when I tested early with the FRER. You can keep testing and watch the lines get darker (but don't obsess over lighter and darker and then lighter or you'll go crazy!) or get a digital.

A line is a line. If it showed within the 3 minute window, you're pregnant. Your HCG levels are probably low right now since it's so early, so it's not registering as dark as it will in a few days. I tested on a Wednesday and got a super faint line. By Saturday or so, the line was darker than the control line.
