Paypal question

anyone have an account? I just opened one because I want to buy something off of etsy- 

I'm a little nervous- I dont like that I had to put in my bank info...

also the etsy seller I want to buy from doesnt take cc payment through paypal- just your bank payment..which makes me nervous...

I'm sure I'm being silly but anyone use this a lot? can you assuage my nervousness?

    i've had mine for years and have never had a problem with it. got it to purchase stuff from e-bay and i've used it for other companies/websites as well and have never had any issues.

    their security is so tight i actually tried to change my profile recently (5 years later to my married name) and it's damn near impossible!

    I have only encountered one negative issue with paypal EVER - and that was that paypal refused to refund my vacation trip last year after I was scammed.

    But I have never had any security issues. My guess with bank vs. credit card with paypal might have something to do with the seller's fees?

    DH has an account that he has had for years. I use it all the time for my etsy addiction. He even has an actual paypal card that we can use if we have money in the account. DH use to play online poker and would have the money put into his paypal account. We have never had a problem.

    I've used it for years and have never had a problem. 

    I didn't realize sellers could tell whether the payment was coming from your cc or acct, just that they get paid. I know when I get paid through PP I never know how or where the money came from, just that it cleared.

    I have a paypal and rarely use it (just rarely need to, not anything to do with paypal).  And I did have fraudulant charges on it.  It was weird.....someone had deposited hong kong dollars INTO my account, and then tried to remove even more.  It was last year in November, right after I remember signing up for a bunch of Black Friday Deal websites.  I had a good password - as in very secure with uppercase and lowercase and numbers and no actual word.  But I used the same password for everything, which obviously I no longer do!  Anyway, Paypal was easy to deal with and reversed everything, even though I didn't discover it until a full month later.
