FP Snugabunny Cradle 'n Swing???

We received this as a gift at our shower this weekend-- we just put it together and it makes noise (a lot) when it swings (not the noise functions, the motor itself).  I just want to double check that this is not normal. 

 

Who has this--- did yours make this noise?  Where you happy with the swing?  I originally registered for it b/c of good reviews but after looking at a few of the low reviews on amazon I'm a little nervous. 

 

PS- the box it came in looked taped together like it had been returned so we were already worried.  UGH.

    We have the Starlight Papasan Swing (similar, I think) and it makes a slight whirring sound... nothing overwhelming though...

    We have the lamb version of the swing (the exact cute name escapes me)...it does make what seems like a lot of noise. Once you turn the music on though it isn't that bad. I figure it is one of those noises that you will get used to and not even hear after a while.

    We received the mocha butterfly cradle swing and although there is some "whirring", but it doesn't bother me.

    I have the lamb one and thought I needed to return it to.  After talking with some friends, I guess it is normal.  I was at Target and turned on the bunny one they had, it sounded about the same.

    I got this same swing, but we haven't put it together yet.  I hope it's not going to make a lot of noise.

    We have the same model. It is a normal operating noise (the whirring). If it disturbs you then I would see if you can return it for something that suites your needs.

    Some noise is normal from the motor. Also, with the FP cradle swing we had for my first DD, we noticed the noise was considerably less when there was actually weight (like a baby, haha) in the swing.

    We have that swing and I havent noticed any noise coming from it while swinging. You may want to exchange it for another one.
