I currently have a 13 month old at home. He's the love of my life and we knew right away we wanted to try for a second. We started TTC two months ago. This is our second cycle and although I thought for sure we were out this month, I tested this morning (13 DPO) and there was a faint line on my IC and another faint line on a Dollar Store test. I'm going to use the digital tomorrow w/FMU to confirm it but it looks to me like we have another one on the way.
The bummer is we have my in-laws here until Wednesday and I'd really like to share this with just DH for now. We'll tell family later, when we're sure. So now I have to keep this a secret for the next couple days, which kind of sucks, but I'm using the time to figure out a cute way to tell DH after they leave. Last time I woke him up at 4:00 when I tested and showed him the pee stick. Not too clever or cute, so I'd like to think of something neat this time.
Any suggestions? How did you all tell your DH's about baby #2?
Re: Question (since I might be joining you ladies...)
I told DH right away, but for the IL's and my parents we had DS wear a BIg brother shirt and we took a pic and sent it to them. You could have LO wear a shirt and have him come in to see Daddy or have him hand Daddy a picture with him wearing one.
Thats gotta be hard. DH works away a lot and we are TTC. My rule has always been that I dont want to tell him while hes away. I get my period this week and if I get a BFP then I will have to wait til he gets home on the 23rd to tell him!!! I dont know if I could do it. Good luck!!
Went to Hobby Lobby and bought a t-shirt and iron on.
Made an iron on for the shirt that said: "I'm gonna be a big brother! Baby H due 12/07"
DH is clueless so it took him a bit to figure it all out. He was especially stunned because we'd been told it was unlikely we'd conceive without medical help.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Hey fellow August 2010 bumpie!!
I told DH by showing him the "pregnant" word on the stick while we were eating pizza for lunch. Not overly romantic, but I was just so excited. I couldn't wait to do something too clever.
