Morning!
Karrot - how are you feeling today??
Raynes - thanks for the advice, I'm just not motivated enough to exercise lol and I feel like if I was pg then losing weight isn't exactly the best idea. I'm not extremely overweight or anything, there's just a bit of "in a relationship so I gained weight" weight that I need to get rid of LOL
I know that most of my weight gain has to do with going out for dinner, but now we're trying to save money so I am forcing myself to cook at home every night. Basically, I need to get my butt on my elliptical and stop being such a slacker!!
Re: Tuesday! One day closer to Friday..
Good Morning!
I was kinda disappointed this morning, I woke up thinking it was Thursday, not Tuesday!
I am in the same boat as you are Rocky, I have gained some post wedding weight. After the wedding I ate whatever I wanted and now I am paying the consequences. Time to get back to eating better and doing more physical labour!
Hope everyone has a great day!!
Not too much longer till Friday!! Of course its still not close enough for me. I had put on some weight before the wedding and put on more now that it's over
I'm overweight by know means... I just don't like where it's concentrated
I need to get motivated. We don't eat out as much (which was the biggest problem) Now I need to get into an exercise regiment... its hard when your unmotivated
Good afternoon! I didn't get into the office until 3pm today. I had to go to a user group meeting for one of our pieces of software up in Markham for most of the day, so I was out the door by 6:15am. WAAAAYYY too early.
Re: weight loss. Exercise is wonderful for your health, but it's not key for weight loss. Getting moving is important, yes, but to drop weight (and fat) it's all about the deficit. How much food you put in your mouth vs. how much your body burns in a day.
Think about it this way. If you quite literally bust ass at the gym for 60 minutes you might burn between 450-600 cals. Maybe. Now, you stop at Booster Juice on the way out because damnit, smoothies have fruit, and you got the protein booster! But guess what? That smoothie just cost you 500 cals in about 15 minutes. It's much much much easier to create a deficit through food than it is through exercise. And it doesn't have to be extreme. Just being aware of what you're eating each day by tracking does wonders. If you create a deficit of, say 500 cals a day (so you're eating somewhere in the 1700-2000 calorie a day range) you'll be on track to lose 1lb per week. And 1 lb per week is healthy, sustainable weight loss.
Anywho, sorry 'bout that, sometimes I get a little wordy.
Tonight we're back to my mom's house to continue working on their little construction project!
I used to use the "My Fitness Pal" app to track what I was eating and how many cals (approx) I burned while working out. My problem is that I cannot eat enough calories a day. I literally have to force myself to eat 1200 calories, I am not a big eater.
P.S - YAY Markham - I grew up there until I was 19!
Morning (Afternoon I guess now!) Ladies,
rocky - I'm feeling a bit better today, thanks for asking
. Still nauseous but not as intensely as yesterday. I have bad heartburn though, which is causing me to burp. It's classy lol
Raynes - I could use a in home cardio workout routine. I am very overweight sadly and although I'm 5'10 I need to loose about 80 more pounds (ugh!) and I've been doing Weight Watchers for a few months now. So far I've lost 15 pounds (I gained 10 back when I stopped, I was at 25 lost in 12 weeks). I stopped going to the meetings, they were full of lame old ladies whose husbands don't support them so they go to the meetings to complain and it annoyed the fvck out of me. They weren't giving useful information anymore it was just a *** session about how unsupportive their husbands were. I just use the info I got from when I joined and track everything at home. So I've been back on track and trying to figure out a good workout routine at home. We don't have room in our house for equipment so I have to either go to a gym or make use of outdoor space. I've started playing Squash with my BFF and her hubby at a local college and I feel like a whale afterwards but it's a great work out for sure.
megs - I see you O'd early (I was too sick yesterday to hang around to comment). EEK! lol You might have a tag along baby on your trip to Mexico! Not entirely a bad thing though, right?

Amen to this. I have an elliptical, a bunch of workout DVDs (P90X, Ripped in 30, random cardio yoga) plus Wii Fit and I CAN'T stick to anything. I'm sad though because in August H and I really got in to playing tennis and now that it's getting cold we're going to have to stop. Plus, public skating starts soon (YAY!) minus the fact that you're "not supposed" to skate when pg because it's kind of a hazard if you fall..
I agree! I have the Wii Fit but I get so bored with it. I'd rather spend my time outdoors if I can so I "try" to jog the best I can. I usually end up power walking with the dog. A girlfriend swears the Jillian Michaels DVD is her fav. Another loves P90X. I think it's preference. I am content just jogging with my Ipod for awhile. I also like sports so teaming up with my BFF was great. She keeps me motivated because she's a bigger girl and has lost 50 pounds in the last year so that encourages me to push it.

Yes I definitely LOVE the Ripped in 30 DVD, it's fvcking hard. I have her yoga DVD also, and I love it too.
I'm not in shape enough for P90X. I think it's pointless because I can't do half the sh!t so I end up sitting there and it defeats the point. lol
Oh I also have the Couch to 5K app. I'm not a runner, but I wanted to do this in the Summer to TRY and become a runner.. but again, didn't happen.
Lack of motivation is the devil.
LOL nope not entirely bad. I'm to the point where I'm torn right now. I want to be pg now but I also want to wait till after the honeymoon. If it happens it happens.
