So DD has begun flailing her right arm in a way that she didn't used to. In fact, I am not sure that flail is even the right word. She is more swinging it up and then down to her side over and over again, sometimes hitting herself in the stomach repeatedly. Is this normal? She will do it when happy, while eating, and also while upset. It seems very strange to me since it is a new behavior and not one I am used to seeing babies do ...

Re: arm flailing
The past few days Flora has been doing the same thing with both arms, smacking herself in the tummy. She does it excitedly and I'm quite sure it's normal.
Mac and cheese lover!
Seth has been doing the same thing for the last week, especially when he is nursing, so he continually is smacking my chest, or when he is trying to soothe himself to sleep.

Sophia does this while shes eating and when she is trying not to fall asleep. She slaps me in the face all the time.
hahaha...too funny!
My DD flails her left arm around too - seems to make her happy.
