I'm thinking about trying to make DD a tutu. I googled a couple how-to videos online, but I'm hoping some of you creative Bumpies have some good advice or links for me. Please keep in mind, I do not know how to sew and I try but I'm not super crafty. Thanks ladies!

Re: Do you know how to make a tutu?
I made a tutu that went around DD's high chair for her 1st birthday party. It was easy, but VERY time comsuming. Granted it was pretty long, and bigger then any tutu for a toddler, so I'm sure it would take less time to make one that a child was just going to wear, being that it would be smaller. Cutting all the tulle is what took so much time. I also made it very full- so it had a TON of tulle on it.
But it's easy- just goodle no sew tutu.
I make them all the time. Once you get the hang of them that make awesome newborn/birthday gifts! I started out using tulle off a roll, a little more expensive (but still cheaper than buying one) but you only have to worry about cutting the length and not the strips. I use an elastic waistband (you could sew this by hand if you don't have a machine) or you could use ribbon like PP mentioned. You can PM me with any questions or I can give you the ebay seller I used to buy the rolls from (not me lol)
ETA: The one in my siggy was the first one I ever made
