Vick's vapor rub

Have you used this with your LO yet? Claire started getting a wicked cough yesterday and I'm thinking of looking into getting her something like this to help. I haven't gone to the store yet to check whether she's too young yet for it but I thought I'd see if you've used it yet for your LOs. TIA.

I've used the vicks baby rub. It works pretty good and I think they don't recommend the vicks vapor rub until they are older like 2 at least.

This. The baby has a pink lid. I've used both on Jocelyn and it does seem to help. The baby is not as strong scented, I think it doesn't actually contain the vapor. As long as you keep it just on their chest/feet it is safe to use either starting at age 2 but at this point Claire should be fine with the regular kind.

I haven't used it on John's chest but use it on his feet at the first sign of a cough. I rub some on the balls of his feet then but on a pair of socks. He calls them his medicine socks! It usually helps to settle down his cough. Hope she feels better! We also used a honey elixer for kids found in the medicine aisle. John didn't care for the taste of it but I tired it and it's not bad at all, just thick like honey.

Thanks gals. I also just spoke with the pedi and they confirmed using the child version of Vicks. Definitely going to try that tonight.

I think the suggested age is 2 and above, but they make a baby version as well. We used it earlier than 2.
