1st Trimester

Is this morning sickness?

Every night around 10pm I start to get so sick to my stomach. I try to go to bed and by about 1am it is so bad of a stomachache it wakes me up. I just want to vomit to feel better. It keeps me up for 2 - 3 hours and by the time my alarm goes off at 6am I feel fine. Its been happening for about 3 nights now.

Any ideas of what might help if it is morning sickness?

Thanks!

  • Are you pregnant?  If so, it's m/s.  Mine is only at night, from 8-10, and it keeps me from falling asleep because I feel awful.

If you're not pregnant, stop asking us questions, go POAS and join us again if you're pregnant.

  • Sounds like morning sickness to me!

Sorry about my snarky comment, before you clarified, your post sounded like another "could I be pregnant?" posting.

Congrats on your (hopefully sticky) baby!

I re-read my comment and figured thats what everyone thought! Haha.

Just never heard of people being kept awake at night because of "morning" sickness!

  • When are you taking your prenatal?  If you're staying up that late every night after taking the vitamin, you're probably experiencing what I felt when I was taking the PNV first thing in the morning.

My doctor's office recommended Unisom for me because I have had trouble sleeping.  They said it's safe to use every night.

  • Morning sickness can occur any time of the day so yes, it could be that.

Ditto the PNV thought though - when are you taking that? My old PNV was fine but i switched brands (H picked up a different brand) and the new one makes me nauseated at night  when I take it.  After a few nights though I guess my body adjusted or something bc I've been fine lately.  But that could be it.

I originally left out the fact that I am pregnant, so that's why they were telling me to test...

But thanks for all the input everyone. I've been taking the same PNV for about 9 mos. and never had a problem, but I do take it right before bed when the nausea starts.

  • I know ths is an old post but I didnt feel like starting my own.... I have felt "hungover" ALL day long! Not enough to barf just be in this blah like state. So this is what morning sickness is like?
