It's so quiet in my house

Abby started daycare today.  She will be going 2 days a week so I can sub or work on grad school.  Plus DH thinks she needs to go for socialization skills today.  I miss her so much but I know she is having fun.  They have cameras in the rooms that are linked to the web.  I love the fact that I can log in and watch her to see how see is doing.

I have already done some laundry, straightened up the kitchen and some reading for grad school and I'm planning on going clothe shopping for her before picking her up.  I just don't know what to do with myself.  I hope sub calls start to come in soon. It's just too quiet here!

Re: It's so quiet in my house

  • Man if I had DD in daycare and they had webcams, I wouldn't get anything done! If I saw her crying or upset, I'd probably jump in the car and go there! lol

  • BTW: Our DD's have the same bday!  Yes
  • I am trying to keep busy so I don't keep watching.  I have watched a lot today.  They must have wore her out this morning because I saw them put her cot out and she got right on and is laying down already.

That is cool about having the same bday.  I can't believe she is almost two

  • Aww. I am SURE Abby is having an absolute blast. She is just the sweetest, most easy going kid. And you will get into your own routine of doing things while she is gone.. and once you get some more grad school work and subbing, you'll be even busier! Eve starts preschool tomorrow and I gotta admit.. I'm looking forward to a couple hours of "quiet" (even though Natalie will still be here).

  • I am lucky she is such an easy going kid.  They told me when I picked her up that she only cried for a moment and then started playing.  They said that she never cried any other time of the day.  She even ate her lunch!  I can't get Abby to eat anything but nuggets and spaghetti-o's for lunch lately.  Plus she napped no problem.  Later that night we we asked her if she wanted to go back, she ran to the door and started crying wanting to go.  I'm glad she is happy there.
