I'm having a complete brain fart. It's one of those boxed dinners that you can buy at the grocery store, kind of like Hamburger Helper, but this one the meat actually comes with it. It's usually some sort of freeze dried carb, sauce and like a can of meat. I know this exists, but can't for the life of me remember what it is called!!!! LOL

Re: What is this called?
I think there are some that are by Betty Crocker, maybe, called something like "Compleats" or similar......the ones I'm thinking of are like a chicken pot pit filling with biscuit mix, or cheesy-chicken filling (canned) with dry hash-brown type potatoes for the top.
Are trying to recall the brand name?
ETA: here is what I'm thinking of....
Something like that, but that's not exactly what I'm thinking about. I know for sure that it comes in a red box though! LOL
I was trying to tell a story and it's totally ruined because I can't remember the name of this dang boxed meal.

I just made one from cambell's the other night, it was mashed potatoes, with some chicken/gravy stuff over top and then biscuits that bake right on top of that.
Cannot for the LIFE of me find it on the internet, LOL. But It's like Campbell's Homestyle Bakes, or Homestyle Suppers or something like that...
this?
I don't know what it's called, but the very idea makes me want to barf.
Canned meat? Ew.
That's the one, except it's Banquet, at least, the ones that I bought for the Food Drive here at work are. Thank you! That was driving me crazy! LOL

The Campbell's Supper Bakes don't include the meat. And the reason I know that is because Joe and I had a huge discussion about these things in the aisle one day. DIS-GUST-ING!
Meat....on a shelf?! Um, no!
"Meat on a shelf" sounds like an SNL skit
sounds like dog food.
I'm also against meat on the shelf....blech. But i have meat issues anyways. I only cook meat I bought THAT day (or bought and froze as soon as I got home), and I don't eat any leftover meat....if its leftover, it gets tossed, or DH brings it to work for lunch.
I do eat tuna out of a can. Not sure why that's different for me. Maybe b/c it's "familiar" and I never even knew tuna came any other way (other than a can) until I was an adult! LOL
I do NOT eat chicken in a can. Eek! (Joe does though - like chicken salad. I guess it's the same premise as tuna salad but it just doesn't sound right to me!)
I don't like canned tuna or chicken either.
