Hi all,
I'm new to this board but I was on Infertility for a pretty long while. My 5 day transfer was on Aug. 24th and it came back way way positive, as you can see from my siggy. My first appt to hear or see (not sure which) the heartbeat(s) is Sept. 19th.
I'm so full of anxiety I'm starting to get really depressed. I've had no additional betas since the 2nd beta which was 3,000-something. I'm so paranoid that I'm going to go in there on Monday and there won't be a heartbeat. All of this seems too good to be true. Like some kind of dream or hallucination. How have you all dealt with this?
Re: Waiting for that first heartbeat - how do you handle it?
Congratulations! I know that it's hard to sit back and relax after going through IF. But it sounds like everything is going very well for you and that your betas were great. I bet you will have a nice, strong heartbeat on the 19th. No real words of wisdom because I know it's hard. I still worry since I don't have weekly u/s anymore. I don't think that worry ever goes away.
Good luck and keep us posted!

CONGRATS!!!
I felt the exact same way. I was basically a ball of nerves until our 8wk appt when we got to see the heartbeat. Then I graduated from the RE that day and had to wait 3 weeks (of anxiety) before my first appt with my OB. But all has been well.
Between appts, I try to focus on work and other fun hobbies. It helps pass the time, at least!
Nerves are a perfectly normal part of pregnancy after IF, I think. Good luck!!

Lots of Luck to all of 3T/IF
Congratulations!
I think we all feel that way. Try to remind yourself that you are pregnant!!! As others have said, I think it's a side effect of IF. We tend to be far more conscious of all the things that might go wrong. Try to focus on the positive - you've got a little one growing in there!!
