Behind...really?

I'm feeling so thankful that both boys love their new school and walk in and to their class rooms each day with no tears.  This is such a relief off of my shoulders.

Both boys are just about the youngest in the class.  But Ridge went from being the top of his class in Atlanta to being behind.  :(  I guess they have different focus points here.  It is good because they are pushing him but I have total Mommy guilt now.  We kept up and ahead of our last program but it didn't cut the mustard here.

I'm also thankful we are staying with my parents.  My Mom has her Masters in early childhood and can get Ridge to work on things that he won't do for me.

Anyway, just wanted to say "HI" too and I hope you are all well.

  • :( This is every parents fear. The good thing is Ridge is so smart and will catch up in no time. Hope you guys are loving it!

  • Did they tell you what the skill or areas to work on are? I'm sure he will get up to speed. It is just a matter of adjustment. L is probably going to be there when she gets bumped up into the next age group class in a few weeks. It makes her grow and challenges her because she learns from the older kids. Right now she is the oldest in her class. Hopefully your boys will enjoy learning from older kids too.

  • isn't he in pre-k?  what is he behind on????  I seriously can't even imagine what kind of skills they should have right now that they don't so please tell me so I can either be relieved or stressed.
