Recommend your Pediatric G.I. Specialist please

I'm considering taking Silvie to see one. Has anyone seen one for their LO and had a + or - experience?

    Charlotte saw Dr. Bucuvalas (at Children's) when she was a newborn.  He was *so* nice and so gentle with Charlotte and really put me at ease.  I also really appreciated the fact that he was always on time for all our appointments (we never had to wait once) and, I don't know if this was just lucky, but we also avoided being seen by 10 billion residents and fellows, like we have in other departments at Children's.

    Charlotte's issues were relatively minor and resolved by the time she was 4 months old - so I can't speak to his medical abilities as well as others.  But he had a really good bedside manner and I appreciated how he treated Charlotte.

    We are seeing Dr Joseph Polmero(sp?) at Children's Mason Campus next week with DS2, will keep you posted on how it goes.

    We've seen Dr.Pentiuk at Children's (Nky branch) and have been very pleased. We started seeing him when Nicholas was about 6 months old and he works with Whitney Rich (pediatric nutritionist) and I have been happy that there seems to be a good deal of coordination between Dr.Pentiuk, Whitney and our endocrinologist since Nicholas' stuff is GI and growth related its really important to have our "team" all on the same page.

    His bedside manner is a little strange, not bad just, he talks kinda fast and has a lot of energy so it can make things *seem* rushed even though in reality its not rushed at all. But he has always taken all my concerns seriously, everytime I've requested a test be done or that we try a different medication he has always been on board and willing to give it a shot. Plus he's at the Nky branch which tends to be easier/less hassle and a little faster than main campus.

    We see Dr.Garza at Childrens.  He has an awesome bedside manner and was so good with Kate.

    Thanks everyone. Just made my appointment at NKY childrens but its not til the 4th! Ugh! We'll see how it goes. Fingers crossed we get some answers. Also waiting on a call to schedule a GI xray.
