My Baby Doesn't Need Me Anymore

Okay, maybe that's a stretch. But for the past few night, I bathe her, lotion her up, give a bottle, and then when I try to rock her to sleep she fusses and squirms.

So now when she is done with the bottle I give her a kiss and lay her down. She talks to herself for about 2-5 minutes and then goes to sleep.

My little girl is growing up!! Crying

PS- life is not perfect in my house. She will be up two more times tonight to eat....uggg.

Edit for terrible typos, I'm sure I didn't catch them all, this going back to work stuff sucks!!

I am lucky, she goes right to sleep after eating too....most nights.

Sonadora: who is that baby in your siggy? There is no way that is the same tiny little girl that was just there yesterday?

Yeah, I feel that way too when I want to cuddle and DS is "too busy" trying to do/see/touch everything in sight. I'm like, "You're not even 9 months old! You're not too cool for your Mommy!"

Neither of my boys like to be rocked to sleep. Both even as tiny babies if really tired want to be left alone, Ollie especially.

She's such a cutie! I can assure you she needs you - but I actually think that is a good thing if she can babble herself to sleep!

Ha! Yea, that was an old picture I had up. At least 2 months old. She's huge these days!

Yes! Isaac has been doing that since 4.5 mos. He really doesn't WANT rocked anymore but I do it anyway and sometimes he fusses and squirms. Sometimes he plays with my face, though. Either way, he is much happier on his own jabbering himself to sleep, especially during the day. It's just crazy. I will never complain on the sleep front, though. He sleeps form 8p-8a with rarely a wakeup.

OMG for serious. You're going to get gang-tackled by the sleepless mob.

The good news is we haven't slept in 9 months to a year, so our aim's for sh!t.
