Quantity or quality?
H is an ice cream snob. It has to be Blue Bell or he turns up his nose at it. True, Blue Bell ice cream is delicious, but it's... $7. $7 for half a gallon of ice cream at the grocery store. That is insane.
I, on the other hand, am NOT an ice cream snob at all. I buy the Kroger brand for $2.50, and it's pretty darn good. (Not the super cheap no-brand stuff, but mid-grade cheap. I have some standards.)
So here I am, eating the world's tiniest cup of ice cream because I feel bad inhaling it because it was so dang expensive, and I'm thinking... I could have about 3x this much if it weren't for H's posh little taste buds.
So... quantity or quality?
Re: important ? re: ice cream
Quality. To snob it up even harder, I've been big into Talenti gelato since we went to Italy. They've also recently started importing Magnum bars, omgggg.
Quality. I just discovered Blue Bell and I'm on my second tub. Fortunately, he's not a big fan so more for me! Until JT starts....then I'll have to share just like I'll have to share the beaters when I make cake.
I also want to add that I would still have 3x as much regardless of the price.
I like your style! Maybe even add a warm brownie and I'm good to go.
I've never heard of Blue Bell Ice Cream. I feel like I'm missing out on something important here..I might have to hunt that stuff down...
I'm more of a quality type of person when it comes to food in general..and especially sweets...that said..I can still go for some thrifty chocolate malted crunch ice cream and be perfectly happy...
Blue Bell is a southern brand. I think you can have it shipped to you for something like $175 for 6 half gallons. lol! Not quite THAT good.
Dang! Guess I may never know what I'm missing then.
Lol I had never heard of it until DH gave me some (he is from SC) lol. I like B&J and Edys. I also make ours and the cookies and cream is delish.
