'You're looking slimmer'

So I work in an office with 12 other women. Most of us are currently on a health kick so it's not unusual for us to check in with each other on workouts and weight loss. As I'm walking past the receptionist's desk today, she says 'you look slimmer lately'. I was completely taken aback, as I'm definitely feeling the bloat by midday and thought there was no way I was pulling it off. I readjusted my wide-eyed surprise face and thanked her. :)

Lucky for me, we're already well into fall here in Alaska so I've been able to wear vests and jackets for the past few weeks. I just wanted to share this with all the ladies who feel like everyone is on to them. Turns out, they may be thinking the opposite! :)

    So funny you posted this!  I've been feeling bloated as well and think that every ounce shows on me and today my boss told me I looked great today.  Always funny to hear compliments when "morning" sickness is the worst!

    Same here, my theory is that my boobs are huge now so that is making me look thinner :)

    Same. My weight hasn't changed so I must "look thinner" because of the boobs

    Good point on the boob thing. I hadn't thought of that but you're all probably right. :)

    I had 3 different people at school this week tell me this as well. All of them commented on how great I looked- I felt like telling them to check back in a couple of months and see what you think then!

    I had someone tell me that a week ago! Right after I started feeling all the bloating and felt "fat" those first few days after I found out. I just thanked her and said I feel like I have been gaining. I weighed myself the next morning and weighed more than I had the time I weighed before that, well then I checked a few days later and I had lost a few pounds. The joys of pregnancy right.
