3 week growth spurt?

Is there such a thing? Someone stole my happy sleepy baby and replaced him with a fussy boob monster yesterday. He was much more awake and alert during the day than he is usually, and he wanted to eat constantly yesterday evening. LO normally isn't that fussy, but he was yesterday... lots of screaming and he was pretty much unhappy unless he was on the boob. 

BUT, he slept from 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. last night, fed for half an hour, and then went back to sleep until 6:30 a.m. I feel like a new person after getting a five hour stretch of sleep! I'm sure it was just a fluke, but I'll take it. However, I'm kind of nervous about what today will hold...

    Yes, there is a 3 week spurt. And it sounds like that is what is going on with your LO. We are going through our 6 week spurt right now and have been since Thursday. You are lucky that you get to sleep, though. Our LO is having her fussiest time from 3-7 in the morning. Ugh! I just want some sleep!

    From everything I've read on here, I'm already dreading the 6-week growth spurt!
