Recs for toddler activities in Dallas?

We are going to visit friends in Dallas and haven't been since having DS. I don't really know Dallas, so looking for anyone to give advice on fun places/parks/places with playscapes - anything to visit with a toddler? I haven't been to the zoo or any attractions with a kiddo in mind before. We will be north of the city near hwy 75.

We also really like the Children's Museum in the Museum of Nature & Science. We had DD's 2nd birthday party there - lots of fun things to do with toddlers: https://www1.natureandscience.org/dcm/default.asp

I was going to recommend both of these. If we take DD to Dallas for TX/OU weekend, we'll definitely be taking in both of these activities.

The aquarium, the zoo, the arboretum, the fair starts at the end of the month I think, nature and science museum (though it's not as good right now because they have a new building under construction), you can also check out metroplex moms and they may have some festivals listed.

Thanks, I looked up the arboretum and saw they have a fairy tale house exhibit. Might be fun for DS.
