3rd Trimester

s/o Vag Grooming

Okay, so a few nights ago I got really ambitious and, frankly tired of being "Bush Woman".  So.....I decided to attempt some vag grooming (blindly- mind you).  First of all, I DID look for a mirror to no avail (we just recently moved and I have no idea where the darn thing is yet).

SO needless-to-say, it was a very difficult chore that seemed to take FOREVER (yes, I used up all the hot water!)  When I was pretty satisfied with my sightless grooming - I had DH look and give me his opinion.  HA HA HA!  He said that my vag looked like it had been through Chemo treatments!!!!  I was horrified.  But DH then helped me "fix it up" (embarassed now) by shaving the area bald!!!

Anyhow, I'll be going to my next OB appointment sans pubes.....I sure hope she doesn't comment!

Re: s/o Vag Grooming

  • I had to plan a week before my appt to make sure I didn't have bald patches. LOL

  • I've kinda given up on actual shaving.  But my husband was kind enough to help me with our trimmers.  So, instead of having a 70's bush, I still have the broad spread of hair, but it's short.

I usually prefer to keep the lower bits shaved, but I can barely reach anymore, nevermind being able to see what the hell I'm doing.

  • I've been going "sans pubes" for a while now, and sometimes I wonder what the docs think - but I am sure they have seen more interesting things.  I just can't stand the thought now of letting it go back.  Sometimes I shave it blindly and the other night I had DH help me.
  • Lol! I can't see mine either. I just use a trimmer.
  • OB's have seen it all, I doubt she'll comment.

  • I totally need to attempt this as it has been on my "To do list" for a few weeks now. I figure if I can at least trim things up w/ my scissors that will be good. Shaving is a completely different story...
  • I had to buy one of those chairs that elderly people use in the shower to even attempt any sort of grooming. Even after that MH laughed at me. Oh well. I think my shower chait may have been my best pregnancy purchase yet. I love it.
  • I shave everything anyways, so it's not too hard doing it blindly & by feel.
  • I just use a trimmer, but it's still a total pain.  I can't wait until I can see my vagina again.
  • LOL!  Every time I've used a mirror, it's just steamed up anyway!  I kept trying to push my belly to the side to get a peek around it!  Wink
  • i thought it was common to shave everything??? maybe i am in the minority here.

  • Your Drs likely see elderly patients as well so I dont think they are really that interested in comparing pubic hair. I shave my legs every few days but thats about it. I didnt with my 1st and dont plan to with my 2nd.
