Cloth Diapering

Flip OS question

We took a cloth diapering class, studied, picked out flips....then had a baby and forgot what we learned. So....do any of you Flip users do anything to poopy inserts right after changing your LO or do you just toss them in your diaper pail until washing?  We chose not to get a sprayer...so...any scooping, wiping, rinsing or just right in the bucket until wash time?  Thanks much

Re: Flip OS question

  • DS is 2 now so most of his #2's just plop right into the toilet.  If it's messy we use our diaper sprayer.  Otherwise, yes, you'll probably need to dunk it (unless it's EBF poop).

  • What does your LO eat these days?  Breast milk poop can go straight in the wash.  "Real Food" poop should be scraped or sprayed or plopped.  (Flushable liners help a lot!)

  • LO is formula fed....EBF was the plan but it just did not work out.  He is 7 weeks old.
  • My DD is EFF also and she tends to have a little bit of peanut butter poo, so I just wipe off as much as I can with toilet paper and flush and then toss the rest in the wet bag. And I agree with pp, I love the flushable liners (poopy papers as we call them Wink ).

  • We will check out flushable liners.  We saw them at our fav store where we got the dipes.  And yes, we have PB poo too....thanks for the suggestions and help everyone.
