So... first FertilityFriend thinks that I ovulated on Day 12 (my own reading was Day 14, based on temps plus CM). Either would be okay, as we timed things around those days.
But now, after a couple of days of high temperatures, it's decided that I ovulated on Day 17, which is so far outside my usual window, we didn't bother.
I will be rather annoyed if that is the case!
(That interpretation doesn't go with my other signs, like CM, but, argh.)
Plus today's early test (one of the 10mL ones) showed nothing. Sigh.
Re: Charting Irritations
It's because I don't consistently get up at the same time of day. I try to keep it within a 2 hour window, but it doesn't always happen.
It's one of the reasons I'm a bit skeptical about temp-based interpretations.
For what it's worth, I tend to run "low" -- this is only one of two cycles where I ever had waking temps above 36.80, and that other one ran very long (33 days - I still don't know what was going on there). The coverline seems high, too -- I know the previous chart also has one pegged at 36.60, but the average has been around 36.40-36.50.
I just hope it's not because I'm 41 and this is perimenopause or something like that.
ETA: above 36.80 when I wasn't doing something like sleeping in until 2!

If you are not taking your temp at the same time everyday it's not going to be accurate.
I always set my alarm, even on the weekends, early and just go back to bed after I temp if I don't have to get up. I've always had a trouble sleeping my whole life but I have managed to be able to fall back asleep after temping. My charts have made a whole lot more sense since I started making sure I take my temp at the same time everyday. I think you get an open circle on FF if it's more than 30 minutes time difference than your "normal" waking time.
This. You can look at my old charts and see how much more sense they make when I started temping consistently. I use my cell phone because it has a soft alarm. When it goes off, I roll over and grab my thermometer. When it beeps that it is done, I stash it under my pillow. I don't look at it until my "real" alarm goes off and I don't feel like I have lost any sleep.
If you can't temp at the same time every day, you might want to try the clear blue easy fertility monitor or OPKs so you have a little more information.
