Stroller - jogging?

My parents want to buy us a stroller for baby. I am at something of a loss! We will likely get a relatively inexpensive umbrella stroller, but also want something that does fairly well on more rough terrain - a jogging stroller, maybe, or at least something with fairly large, real (rubber, not plastic) wheels.

Recommendations? I don't need bells and whistles - if there were an umbrella stroller with nice wheels, I'd get it!

One other thought would be a jogging stroller that converts to a bike trailer. I have seen a couple of those, but any input on them would be great!

    See if your library has a copy of the latest Baby Bargains--it has reviews of all kinds of strollers (among tons of other baby items)!

    Ive done alot of research on jogging strollers. I registered for the schwinn turismo stroller. Its about $170, and the front wheel is able to swivel for around town walking and manuvering. it also locks in place. I havent gotten it yet, but am super excited to try it in the spring with LO! I was torn b/w the schwinn and the Joovy Zoom. That one looked nice too. Hope this helps:)

    I plan on buyng the BOB Revolution. Baby Bargains gives it high marks, and I've heard nothing but great things about it from my friends with babies.

    I registered for this jogger system based on good reviews and several friend recommendations. I don't jog or plan to take my kid off-roading, but I've heard that the joggers do handle a lot better than the clunkier strollers with 4 small plastic wheels.

    We plan on going to the beach etc so we got the bob revolution and like it so far but this will be our first LO so we haven't really used it yet.

    Baby jogger city mini sounds like exactly what you need.  Not quite jogging but not huge like a travel system.  #1 in Baby Bargains!!
