We started on the nursery about three months after I found out I was pregnant and as soon as we moved into our new house. Its Dr. seuss themed and all hand painted by me and my husband.
We started off drawing the characters where we would want them to be on the walls with chalk. We then painted in the lines with the base coat with a latex paint. once the background was all painted we used a projector to outline each character and traced it in chalk again. we filled them in with paint samples of latex paint. after each layer had dried we used both latex and acrylic paint to pain the details of each character. a black acrylic paint with a GOOD line paint brush was used to outline and paint the details. we used a clear sealer to seal each character to prevent the acrylic from drying out over time.
