SECT VBAC after C-Section?

Hello,

 I recently had my first child on July 7th and unfortunately found out in the delivery room that Westerly hospital does not support VBACs - I had a planned C-section because my little one was not going to be so little, and he wasn't 10lbs 9oz, but thankfully very healthy.

 I suffered PPD regarding the c-section because I was really hoping for a natural birth and it was everything but.

 Now, I am looking for a new doctor/midwife/practice in the SECT/Southern RI area that supports VBACs. My husband and I aren't planning on having another baby for a year or two, but I would like to get to know my doctor before that happens. Hopefully, I can find someone taking new clients.

 Anyone with any advice/recommendations?

    I just had DD at Westerly Hospital too. I was upset I never got my natural birth either but I am planning on a VBAC. Backus and L&M offer VBACs but you need to find a practitioner that is willing to do one. If you google ICAN organization that should help narrow your search. I see you are from Groton as well. 

     

    Also, try putting VBAC out of your mind for a little bit. Focus on the baby you have now. PM if you want :)

    I don't know if Faire Harbor OB/Gyn does VBACs, but the Dr. Simpson is the doc there and he is awesome!!!  He is affiliated with L&M.  

    The nurse practitioners in the office are not as awesome as he is, so try and see him if you go.

    Dr. Russell Turk of Riverside OBGYN actually lectures on VBAC and is a nice OB who delivers at Stamford. He has lots of high risk experience and Stamford has a level 3 NICU.  https://www.riversideobgyn.com/about.html

    The practice is small and he often delivers his own patients instead of those large places where you get the doc on call that day. He even has a naturopath as part of his practice.
