We met the summer of 1998 at my first job. So 13 years ago. I had just turned 16 and DH was 18. We got married on the day we met...9 years later (it happened to be a Saturday!).

We met in 1992, my freshman year and his sophomore year of college, and have been together ever since...though we didn't get married until 2005 (much to his parents' dismay). It's cool because we grew up together and went through so many changes together. Getting married was just a formality for us.

Yup. We had been dating for four years and were just about to move into our first apartment together.

We actually got to move in a week early because our new landlady canceled her planned trip to Greece due to 9/11.

you know...I clicked "no"...but I guess I did know him...we just weren't dating. We went to college together and he was part of a much larger group of friends, but we never dated or anything...and then he switched schools...when I graduated and moved to pittsburgh, we ran into each other and started dating shortly afterwards

Nope...and DH and I were just talking about how if 9/11 didn't happen we probably would have never met. We met in 2004 at work, and a large part of our contract involved implementing security measures as a result of the 9/11 Act and the 9/11 Commission findings.

We met in April of 2001, broke up in June of 2001, got back together in July of 2001, broke up again in late August of 2001 and then, on September 11th he called me and our communications picked up and we started dating again in November, 2001 and the rest is history.

I always find it amazing that if not for September 11th we probably wouldn't be married and have three kids together. For us, out of hatred and tragedy came love.

Nope, 10 years ago I had just started my first teaching job out of college. I was single and dating but not in a serious relationship. I was 23 and still had a lot of partying left to do! I was enjoying my single life, my friends, and my freedom.

I met DH at the end of January 2004. We got engaged 8 months later on September 18, 2004 and we were married a year later, September 10, 2005.

Nope I was a sophomore in College.. My mother was also dying at the time and passed a few months after sept 11th.. I was also supposed to go abroad to Spain a few weeks after sept 11 my dad wouldnt let me go.. I would like to block out that whole year..

No, but I did 9 years ago. I remember feeling lonely on 9/11/01 b/c I had no one to share my feelings with as the tragedy unfolded...we got together in August of 2002 and I remember watching coverage of the 1st anniversary of 9/11 together, so grateful to have him in my life.

I saw DH perform a couple times at a poetry open mic for the first time in the spring of 2001. Maybe a year later he tried to talk to me, but I blew him off. A couple more years passed and I would see him on occasion. Then in 2004, I saw him more frequently, we started dating and were married the following year- 2005. Weird how things work.
