What did you think of the season finale? I felt meh. The way the Marnie arc ended was way anticlimactic I thought. I'm glad Sookie blew Debbie's head off. She was one of the most annoying characters.
So now that Sook pulled her Kelly Taylor, "I choose me" routine, does she bone Alcide finally? B/C I totally would.
Sadie is not impressed.

I see a Tara/Lafayette possession coming up... I'm really sad about the whole Tara thing.

In the books both Tara and Lafayette are dead already so I really wonder where they're taking that.
I only read 2.5 books. I'm kinda glad I didn't finish them, because I always end up comparing them to each other.
Now that I think about it, I do remember Lafayette dying. They found him in a trunk or something, right?

Tara's not dead in the books! She's having twins. In the last book she threw her a baby shower. Lafayette died super early.
The show has diverged so far from the books, but that's cool b/c it makes it interesting.
I'm super glad that Russell Edgington is coming back b/c he was nucking futs and I loved it. Just off the hinges crazy.
I didn't really like Tara so I'm not sad she got killed except I don't think she's going to actually die--but we'll see. And I cried like a big ol' baby when they killed Jesus. He was a cool character and hottie. Love love love the Mexican/Spanish men with the olive skin and green eyes.
I wonder if they're going to end the show in the next couple of seasons and they're setting up for Sookie to have the ending she wants with kids/grandbabies (which she can't do with a vampire) and they may have her hook up with a were.
But how, oh how, could she say no to Eric?? I couldn't. Wouldn't. Love him. lol

I so hope she does Alcide...he's so freakin yummy. I think that's coming up because she has already had Eric and Bill. And what, they are now friends? And holy crap, Russell is loose?
So sad about Jesus and poor Lafayette. I am glad Debbie died..that chick was annoying. AND Tara? I saw that coming as soon as Sookie got home. I was like, shhit...Debbie is there. Maybe they can bring Tara back with V blood? lol
My thoughts in a nutshell:
Russell? HOLYEFFINGSHIT I did not see that coming.
Sookie is annoying as hell, I hope she dies. Clearly she won't.
I love Eric. Bill sucks.
Jessica and Jason? Meh, boring.
Tara dying? She was super annoying but got a little better this season but still, meh, boring. They won't bring her back.
I'm glad Sookie killed Debbie like she did in the books but I was hoping it happened like it did in the books.
Are they not going into the Marcus/Alcide/Pack leader thing? Sad.
I liked Jesus!
I predict she will end up with Eric in the show.
Also, I've read the books so a lot of my feelings are also kind of based off that.

I do too, actually. I think it would be interesting since Tara dislikes vamps so much. Some think that Eric will make Pam do it as some sort of penance. I think watching Pam and Tara together as maker and progeny could be fun. They are both so b!tchy and they hate each other, it would be an interesting relationship to watch.
I'm excited that Russell is back. I figured when they buried him in concrete instead of just staking him that he'd be back eventually, and yay he is! I love his character. He's the perfect actor for it. I just want to know who let him out, but I'm thinking it was probably Pam. I'm not sure if I like her going all psycho about Sookie like she did, so I'll have to see how that plays out I guess.
And this season was just weird. Like, beyond the normal amount of odd it's been from the beginning. I hope next season is less so.

I don't think Pam would let Russell out, she knows that he wants to kill Eric. She loves Eric, so I don't think she would do something so stupid.
I wish that they didn't have Pam hating Sookie like she does. I liked their relationship in the books so much better. I also like Sookie in the books better.

I too think it was Pam. They should make Pam bring Tara back. The last two mins of the show shocked me. I've never read the books. I think the season finale was very dramatic and they were trying to make people cry rather than shock them. Weird. This whole season was weak.
I think Alcide and Sookie need to hook up, give her a baby and then she can get back with Eric and he can help raise her fairie/were baby. The end. HA
The only reason I think she might have been the one to let him out, is because she's so pissed at Eric that maybe she thinks Russell will owe her one and take out Sookie for her, which also hurts Eric. I don't know, I suck at plot theories. Hahaha
I loved that in the books, Pam was a raging biitch, but she was always so put together and didn't lose her cool and throw a tantrum over something as stupid as "I hate Sookie!"
The hole dug up in the parking garage, with the chains in it? That's where Russell was buried.

Ohh, thanks! My dog started barking to go out right about then, so I was standing at the backdoor halfway watching him in the yard and halfway watching the TV. That makes much more sense now.

It was already announced that Russell would be back for the 5th season. Also, what are the odds that another vamp would be encased in concrete on one of Alcide's properties? Plus, Russell was supposed to be like 3000 years old, if he can't get out of silver chains and concrete how would a newb like Newland do so?
Russell might not glamour someone, but whoever helped get him out might.
The whole whiney, screaming "somebody help me!!" thing makes me think Tara won't really die. So glad Debbie is out of the picture though and as annoying as Sookie is, I was glad to see she finally got a pair and killed her. And are we just done with werepanthers? That sort of fizzled out, no?
Alcide needs to get it on with someone so we can see him shirtless more often, but does it have to be Sookie? I mean, does the girl need to hook up with all the hotties in that rinky dink town?
And did all of those people come back because of the chant the girls were doing to get rid of Marnie?

Yeah, I thought it a bit odd that all of the sudden the werepanther storyline just died, but I guess they left open the possibility that Jason is going to be a KD (Kitteh Daddy).

Ok so I watched a clip of Newlin on Jason's porch, and looked at a picture of Bill with his fangs out, and his Newlin's teeth are in theright spot.

I'm totally butting in because I am not a regular poster on this board but I LOVE True blood.
The finale surprised me a little. I was sad Jesus died, I was just starting to enjoy his character...
So a few questions, where do you think they are going with the Sookie, Bill, Eric thing? I mean I know where it goes in the books, and there is a different dude inbetween that. Do you think they will bring him in? Or do you think she'll try it out with Alcide?
I also think it's Russell that came out of the concrete, that was the first thing I said when I saw it to my DH who was watching as well. We both like his Character or at least the guy that plays him!
The show is off and on good for me, I'm a big lover of the books, and I find it hard to separate them.
Alan Ball has always said that he will follow loosely follow the book plot up until the 4th season and then after that it will be completely different from the books (plot-wise). I don't know much about what they are doing for the 5th season except that I have heard that it will be about demons and, of course, Russell coming back.
Ultimately, I think that the series will end with Sookie and Bill together. Alan Ball has a serious hard on for Bill's character and has said that he thought that Sookie and Bill are soul mates. ::gag::
For the fifth season I think Sookie will be single, but may go on a few dates with Alcide. I don't think Ball will make it anything serious and I don't think (hope) they will bring in Quinn.
