Long story short, we have done 7 unsuccessful IUI cycles and are going to attempt #8 (we would do IVF but do not have the $$$) - I am fine, our issue is my hubby has a low sperm count...I am just looking to see if any of you out there have gotten a BFP after so many IUIs? Once we do have the $$ for IVF we will do it for now we are doing the IUIs since our insurance covers it unlimited...thanks for any feedback
Re: Have any of you gotten a BFP after numerous IUI attempts?
We got our BFP with IUI #7. DH had great numbers but I have PCOS and our insurance doesn't cover any IF treatments so we were 100% OOP. As much as we wanted to do IVF, it wasn't an option financially so we were going to do as many IUIs as our RE would allow us. I think he was going to let us do only 1 more if #7 didnt' work.
Have you tried changing your medications? For #7 I asked my RE if I could try injectables - I responded terrible to the Bravelle and ended up with only 1 follie but we got lucky.
Good luck!

i did clomid- my first cycle- that was cancelled- it thinned out my lining ridiculously.
I then moved on to injectibles, because the doctor, knew we didn't have an endless supply of sperm- since we were using a donor...or finances... She knew we wanted to be aggressive.
It may be worth looking into switching meds even though it may cost you a little bit of money. Our injectable cycle wasn't cheap but after 6 unsuccessful IUIs, we felt we needed to try something new.
You also may want to talk to your RE about the Clomid - I don't know a lot about Clomid since my RE doesn't use it anymore but after 7 cycles of it, it may not be safe for you.
GL!
I would still check out the injectables and how much it will cost. I did clomid and fermara and responded beautifully all 4 cycles but nothing. My first injectable cycle, IUI#5, was the only cycle I got a BFP. Although, injectables are a lot more expensive.
