If you're worried about being past due..

Or pressure from doctors to induce, or having a natural birth in a hospital, or giving in to an epidural (because sometimes they HELP). Read this. What a great birth story!!  It's actually really inspiring.

    That is a crazy story, mainly because that sounds very similar to how my mother had me! 3 weeks late and she had 3-4 days of contractions until right at the end then she dialted from 5cm-10cm in 15 minutes! I am inspired by these women it always amazes me my mom carried me for 3 extra weeks and birthed all 12lbs 9oz of me without an epi she is my inspiration!

    No offense but um, yes this story is what worries me! LOL but yes it shows that it is not the end of the world. I am bracing for shock as I am past my due date (midnight).

    What scares me there is the urge to push at 4 cm!! I had that at 9 cm and there was no "not pushing". If I get the urge next time before 9, I honestly will probably cave to the epi, as against it as I am. Wanting to push and trying not to was torture.

    It is encouraging though, that even after the epi she still got the liberating feeling of pushing. Pushing my baby out was hands down the best, most exhilarating and powerful moment of my life.

    I went 15 days past my due date and was finally induced.  I still wish it hadn't happened that way.  There's always next time, right?

    LOL.  My thoughts exactly!  I hope I don't end up like her!  I am due today and starting to get very anxious!

    I know it's impossible to be able to know, but I just have this feeling I will either be a couple weeks earlier or a couple weeks late...we'll see..
