I don't check March 2011 much, but I should. There is a post from a few days ago about what you'd change about your pg/delivery. I can't think of a thing I'd change, although birth went NOTHING like i'd imagined. During my pg, I took all the advice with a grain of salt. I exercised and watched what I ate. I had to quit exercising around 30 wks b/c of abdominal pain (although I still did aquafit) which was unfortunate, but oh well. I enjoyed the occasional glass of wine and probably ate too much ice cream near the end. I took a few weeks off work before I gave birth. I think I started to get bored near the end of my time off, but you do never know when you'll give birth. I gained 5 lbs more than I "planned" on, but oh well. I was prepared for an unmedicated, intervention-free birth. I had the birth pool ready at home. I was going to labour at home for as long as possible before I went to the hospital. I would've had a home birth, but DH was more comfortable with the hospital. That was ok with me. I went in for a routine appointment at the hospital at 41 wks, and they were like "OMG YOUR BABY IS DYING!!" and they ran me down the hall to the OR on a gurney, no if, ands or buts, and cut her out of me. But you know what, I couldn't control that and I wouldn't change it. DH didn't get to be there. I'm sorry about that. But everything turned out just perfectly. I mean, for having a c-section and all.
