Safety 1st Complete Air Car Seat

Does anyone have this seat? Pros/Cons?  I'm looking for a spare car seat for when my aunt takes my daughter and my friend said she likes this one for her daughter, but to me it looks like the "wings" where the air is would be annoying.

Re: Safety 1st Complete Air Car Seat

  • We have it, this replaced our Chicco infant car seat...DD uses the "wings" as a place to prop the carseat pillow-thing when she falls asleep!!! :)

The carseat is in the middle of the backseat...so she has full visual facing forward...(if not she gets carsick), so the "wings" aren't a viewing interference... :)

  • We have it as a second carseat.  I don't love the straps, they don't tighten easily and it's kind of a pain to install, even with latch.

    Overall, it's ok.

I love our britax boulevard 70, but I'm guess you don't want to spend that much on a second car seat.

  • I don't have it, but I've seen it on sale at Sam's.

  • We have it and like it a lot. The wings have never been a problem for her seeing out, RF or FF. The one drawback is that the company INSISTS that it needs to be at a 45 degree angle in RF mode, which is almost laying down flat. It's kind of ridiculous. We have used it more upright without any problems, but I guess technically it's "wrong". I've been on the car-seat.org message boards and many of the techs on there say they have no problem using it more upright, but leave it up to the parents because they can't advocate anything that's against the manual.
