Babyganics vs Cali baby?

We have always used California baby bath and diapering products on both of our boys but they were sold out the other day. There was a promotion on babyganics , love their dish soap so I thought I would give it a try. I grabbed some bubble bath and lotion. I'm wondering if it is equally safe though, I haven't used it yet. Anyone know?

Re: Babyganics vs Cali baby?

  • Here are the stats on BabyGanics from SkinDeep. Here's the info on CA Baby

Neither one is perfect. They look to be about the same on the "junk" level: fairly low, but the junk is still in there.

Do you use a cream with every change? If not, the exposure is negligible.  I generally just use the Earth Mama Angel Baby diaper cream and only use something thicker if there is an issue.

  • I am not a fan of either, honestly. I do love my weleda though.

I super quadrouple extra plus recommend EMAB's balm as well.  I love that stuff.  A tiny bit goes a long way and it heals so much overnight.  Good stuff.

  • I love the Cali baby products, my only complaint being they are pricey and weren't in stock that day so I grabbed the babyganics. I started using the babyganics cream on myself (the eczema cream) and actually really like it. I get terribly dry cracked hands and it has made them feel soft again after only a few applications. I don't use anything on his bum at most changes. I often usually use a damp washcloth to clean him up or if water isnt handy i spritz him with cali baby diaper spray. If I see a little redness I throw some cali baby thick diaper cream on him and it is usually gone at the next change. If it is nighttime and he seems red I'll do a non talc powder and some cream. After a full bath I will often give him a massage with Cali baby calendula, organic extra virgin olive oil from the pantry, or maybe some extra virgin coconut oil. But we go for the sponge bath often enough (I've got an asd toddler, a husband who works full time, commutes 3 hours, and goes to law school at night so I had to streamline bedtime a bit and this way I still get to snuggle him as long as he wants). Any who I'm glad to hear it isn't filled with junk. Does anyone know what the absolute least junky line is? We tried weleda and did like it (the calendula cream was decadent) but I thought there was something really junky in it- can't remember what it was now so maybe I am wrong.
