Well there are about 8-9 other ob's within the practice. I normally see one physicians but have to see one of the others if he is not in, so I was just wondering.

Yes. My ob that I see regularly is scheduled to do it. However, if for some reason I go into labor on my own before that date comes, I will get whichever doctor is the one on call from the practice I go to.

Yes. Although he didn't end up delivering my LO! My water broke at 39 weeks, 2 days...4 days before my scheduled c-section so I got the OB that was on call that night. Luckily she was AWESOME. GL!
I had been on hospital bedrest for weeks, so I could chose any of the 3 docs in my practice that I wanted. I didn't care, it was late on December 23rd so I went with whoever was handy since I loved them all.
One benefit to bedrest, I got to pick my entire nursing staff to be there with me too!

I'd certainly hope that if you plan on having a c/s that you make sure to schedule it through your OB and that they are smart enough to do it while they are scheduled to work.
The OB I was seeing for each of my sons was the one that scheduled my c-section. I didn't have a problem or any issues with that. There are 4 doctors in the practice I go to.
