Itchy hands?!?!?

in 3rd Trimester
The last couple days I have noticed that my hands itch?!
I thought I read something a while ago that you can excrete hormones through your hands and feet.
Anyone else experience this or know anything about this?

    If it gets really bad and you start itching on your feet ask your dr for the blood test for Cholestasis. I have it and it is so annoying!

    I was having this and read that itching on hands and feet is common due to an increase in hormones. If it spreads to other places it could be something else though. Mine spread to all over my body, I'm going in for tests tomorrow.

    Thanks! Ill have to keep an eye on that!

    Hope it doesnt stick around or if it does hope it goes away after pregnancy!

    I had this same thing, drove me absolutely nuts!! I asked my OB about it, she said it was from edema (water retention) even if you have no real visible swelling, you still retain water and that's what it's from. I was told to up my water intake...I know...I know....you probably drink a gallon a day like I do but I cut out my daily cup of coffee and started avoiding even the one soda a week I'd have and started watching my salty foods and it's not bothered me since making those small changes. HTH! GL!

    Definitely mention it to your doctor and see about having a serum bile acid test (it is a simple blood draw). There is a rare pregnancy condition that can be dangerous to the baby if undiagnosed, and itchy hands are a symptom. You at least want to rule it out to be safe.
