Is this just a common c-section pain or more?

Plain and simple....it hurts when I pee. I wasn't sure if this was just a common side effect of having a c-section or if in fact I'm getting a UTI (i've never had one before but that's what my mom thinks it might be). Dr. Google says that a UTI after a section is common because of the catheter but I just wanted to see if others had felt the same. I have a doc appt on Monday to get my staples removed, so if it still hurts then I'll mention it to my doc & see what she thinks.

I think it's common after c-sections, too.....because of the catheter. Either just irritation or a UTI. (Or even irritation from having to wear pads for a long time.)

You are still really early in recovery and things are going to be bruised form the surgery and catheter. You could very well have a UTI though. I ended up with one a couple weeks out and at first it hurt to urinate and then it turned into a burning sensation. Definitely mention it to your doctor though.
