we're going on a cheap mexico getaway when I'll be (hopefully) 15 weeks, and would LOVE to know the sex(es) prior, so we can argue about names the whole time. (lol)
Early predictions are easier with boys, right? Like, will any u/s tech be able to tell with any certainly at 14 or so weeks what we're having?
we won't be naming the bab(ies) for sure prior to birth, but well, I'm super curious about what's in there, and all this talk about Team Green is making me nuts! ha!

When I went in for my NT scan at around 13ish weeks ( i think) they asked if I wanted to know the sex. I said 'really, you can tell that early'. The tech said 'sometimes'. (of course, i didnt find out that day since DH wasnt with me) I have a friend who found out at 16 weeks and was having a boy. i definitely think you can tell sooner with boys. Its worth a shot, but maybe wait to pick a definite name until 20 weeks
Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p

***Twin fraternal girls born at 35w6d in 12/2008***
For us (obviously all girls), no one would even give a GUESS before 18 weeks, so maybe there is something to the idea that it is easier to make an early guess with boys...?
But, it is worth a try!

Are you doing a NT?
My OB's ultrasonographer uses 3-D and has a truck load of experience.
He said that 85% of the time she says something at the NT she's correct.
So - I wouldn't put money on anything you find out that early but it's not impossible to tell.
However I would only do it if you can locate someone with 3-D equipment who's got a TRUCK load of experience with 3-D at that early stage.
And FWIW you can't see the goods but rather lines and the angles they're at.
Ours guessed correct with Dylan at the NT. Conversely waiting until our anatomy scan at 21 weeks with Jace felt like an eternity by comparison (different insurance and different OB).
Wanna swing thru Denver on your way outta town? She's the best in the state.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
While at our NT scan at 12w5d, they guessed 2 girls. Well as MIL tactfully said "I guess Tuck was a late bloomer"
They were wrong, but she said not to go out and buy matching girl stuff just yet.
The place that did my NT scan did a blood test for gender, and they have pretty high accuracy (they're looking for evidence of the Y chromosome in the mother's blood). It's more accurate for boys than girls, although if you have twins it can only tell you if you're having one boy, not two
They wouldn't even take a guess at the gender from u/s, but the blood test got us gender before 14 weeks.
