consignment sales

is it worth it to put clothing in with all the taging ect. Were did you get hangers if they all need to be on hangers? I can buy safety pins for tags but hangers I don't want to have to buy to sell stuff.

Re: consignment sales

  • I've been to lots of Mom 2 Mom sales (not sure if that's the same thing) - stuff is usually folded on tables. And some things are indiviually priced, but most of the time it's shirts are $xx pants $xx so there is no worry about pricing etc.

  • Ask around and see if your friends have any hangers.  I go to a lot of consignment sales to buy clothes for the boys and I save all the hangers I get, because I know that some day I will need them to sell their stuff.  If you know anyone who shops consignment sales, ask if they keep the hangers.  Maybe post it on Facebook.  That's what I would do.

  • I participate in a large consignment sale (Just Between Friends) in my area each season. Even with purchasing supplies I still average $300 profit each time. It's fun and gets easier each time you do it!

  • In my area, consignment sales are awesome. See if the sale itself sells the hangers or try dry cleaning places.

  • You can all around to local stores to see if they will give out old plastic hangers (like old navy, bru, target,)
