Hi Ladies!

Where did you all purchase your cribs from?

JC Penney has some great deals for room packages online... but that's just it, most of them are online only. I hate to buy something I can't see first!

    I got mine at a local baby furniture store - I like being able to patronize local businesses when possible and DH will absolutely NOT buy furniture he cannot see in person.

    We picked out the Essex crib in Chestnut finish and the 3 drawer dresser, just before they discontinued that dresser style! And, our local business offered these pieces for less that advertised on the manufacturer's site:

    Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
    DH: perfect
    1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
    2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!

    We ordered our Graco Lauren's online to get the best price, though they had them at BRU for us to look at.  I didn't really feel like I needed to see them before buying though.

    5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs
    IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
    FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
    twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
    Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first

    I've heard great things about JCPenney cribs and my best friend bought hers online from there and it's gorgeous. I got mine through Amazon and I really like it. I usually read all the reviews first especially since I can't see it in person. I also tried google image search to see pic of the crib in real nurseries ( not just the stores stock photo).
    IUI#1 - 05/20/08 = BFP! M/C - 14 weeks :( baby girl
    IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks :( lost twin girls
    IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks :( again
    IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
    FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
    IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!

    I found ours at Buy Buy Baby -- we are purchasing it next week. You can use your Bed Bath and Beyond coupons there. The crib we like is $500 but with the 20% off coupon its $420.

     We bought the same set from a local children's store too and love it.  They were having a great 4th of July sale, so we got a great price. 

    TTC since April 2009 dx = PCOS; TTC History for DS - A FET miracle after 7 IUIs; 2 fresh transfers, and 1 other FET resulted in BFNs. Hoping and Praying for baby #2: Cycle 1 - FET; November 2012 BFN Next Steps - who knows? Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

    The ones I liked were on Amazon and Target.com (not in stores). I opted for Target in case I needed to return them. I never did return them. While they aren't my "dream" cribs, I think they are very nice and fit well in our itty bitty nursery.

    I got mine from BRU when they were offering a free matress with crib. I did not see them beforehand but I googled for reviews. Like PP said it is not my dream crib but we had to be more budget conscious since I needed three. All of my mom friends that bought expensive nursery furniture have said they regretted spending so much because it just gets messed up.
    Diagnosis: DOR and MFI-low everything IVF #1 = triplets! 2 girls and a boy! Born Sept 29, 2011 at 32w6d due to Pre-e and HELLP syndrome Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    We bought the Monterrey furniture set from JCP. I didn't like that we couldn't look at it in person, but it just so happened that a good friend of ours bought the same crib so we were able to look at theirs. Now that it's arrived, we LOVE the furniture! It's very well made and solid. The only problem we've had so far is that when they shipped the hutch, they packed the shelves already in the hutch and so when we took it out of the box the back of the hutch was all scratched. It's fixable, but they are shipping us new pieces.

    We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

    I didn't want to spend a lot on baby furniture since we didn't plan on it lasting past the nursery.  I don't have any visions of this being her forever furniture and won't care if she chews on it or gets permanent marker on it, etc.  I bought the Graco Lauren crib in white from Walmart for a great deal!  It ended up being less than $100!  You can see it in person at BRU but it was way cheaper from Walmart's website.
