do you immediately think of Twilight? We have a girl's name that we're completely set on (Gabrielle), but are trying to figure out a boy's name. Edward is H's grandfather's name and we both really like it, but I'm afraid everyone thinks of Twilight (which I despise--sorry those of you who are fans) when they hear it. What say you?
We are team finding out (on Sept 30!), so this may be moot anyway, but I wanted some outside opinions
Re: When I say Edward...
I think of the delicious Edward Norton.
I would not say delicious, but I think of Edward Norton too.

No because I never got into the Twilight thing.
Love the name!

When I read the title I knew you were going to ask about Twilight but no, I don't think of him.
I think of Edward Lewis, Pretty Woman!
LMAO, I was gonna say this one to be funny! I am not a fan of Twilight, but I also think it will die out. Edward is a classy name that has a lot of variations like you mentioned.
I thought of Twilight only because I knew that would be your next question from the way you phrased your title. I've never read the books or seen the movies.
If I were in your shoes, I'd name the baby Edward without a second thought. Twilight will pass just like the rest of trends do... yes, there will always be some diehard fans, but using the name will just move people further away from associating the name with the stories. For everyone who knows you, Edward will come to remind them of your child, not Twilight. At first I would imagine you'd get some comments "oh, like in Twilight?" but if you can deal with that, I wouldn't hesitate to use such a great name.

We are going with Gabrielle as a girl name as well, Liam for boy.
Edward is such a traditional name. All you have to tell people is that its a family name.
This! But I liked the books before the movies and hype came out, so there is a negative connotation. Maybe you can use it as a middle name?
So apparently I'm worried over nothing here Thanks for your input, ladies--Edward it is!

And I love all of you who thought Scissorhands--that was such a great movie!
