I am getting really confused with acetaminophen dosages. Everything is talking about the "new" infant bottles available in 2012, but I think they are out now? The new syringe pull instead of dropper for infants?
Anyways, DD is ~13.5-14lbs and the acetaminophen I have has a concentration of 160/5mL. I found this chart (https://assets.babycenter.com/ims/Content/first-year-health-guide_acetaminophen_chart_pdf.pdf) and I think it is saying I should give her 1.25mL. My pedi said to give her 0.6, but it looks like that is the dropper dose (we did not have the medicine with us when we were at the office and she may have misunderstood which type I said I had at home).
Right now I am giving her 0.6 mL since it is the low estimate and I would rather underdose her than overdose her, of course. Is anyone else confused, or have I just been looking at this stuff for too long?
Re: acetaminophen dosage? *flutepharm*!

Yes, I am using the syringe pull. Thanks dear! I would have been confused because even Dr. Sears calls the concentration in my infant dose the same as a children's liquid, but his posting the concentration is exactly what I need to see to determine the dose.
My step-sister is a pharmacist too, so I am waiting to hear back from her. There are just too many confusing products and concentrations on the market right now.
Thank you! No worries on the time, I finally go ahold of my pharmacist step-sister who said the same. It goes without saying that DD is much happier with the 2.5mL than the 0.6mL, haha. I was just being careful until I got a couple clear responses.
And I'm sorry you had to work on a Saturday, bummer!
