What do you use? Why do you like it? What didn't work for you? I have a Baby Bjorn and I like it, I like that it's slim for his legs, baby seems to like it but I don't like that it puts strain on my back. I've tried a wrap (like a Mei Tai) and LO didn't seem to like it, having his legs wide open around me didn't seem like a comfy position for him, he couldn't open and wrap his legs around me. I just got a Maya ring sling from a friend and I've been playing around with it, so I can't give an opinion on that one just yet. I'd like something like a wrap that I don't have to adjust buckles, one that once he has complete head control I can wear him on my back (e.g. for cooking!) and not something complicated(IMO) like a Moby. Any suggestion?
Re: For my baby wearing mamas
I'm excited to try a woven wrap. So far, we've only used a Moby, and it's been working great for us. We have used the newborn hug hold, the regular hug hold and then another mom showed me that we can turn him around so that he faces the front also. I was intimidated by it at first, but after a couple of tries, I didn't have any problems tying the wrap or getting my son in there securely. I'll keep using it for as long as I can, but he's getting heavy and I've noticed that the Moby does stretch out significantly after I've been wearing him for a few hours.
I think you're able to use a pretty large variety of different carries with a woven wrap (hip, back, front, etc), so it might work better for you than the MeiTai did as far as LO's comfort goes. I know you said you found wraps complicated, but maybe after a little practice they wouldn't be so bad? I've found lots of helpful instructional wrap videos on youtube and the Moby website.
I made a ring sling about two weeks ago and have used it everyday. K likes the hip hold so she can look around, but I also try to use the kangaroo hold to give her hips a break. It has also been great for naps when we are out and about.
I really like my moby, but I needed something I can throw on when running errands.
I love my ergo, I have the same one as pook. I's so comfy, and the organic fabric ones are way nicer feeling than the regular ones. My brother just did a rather steep 2 hour hike with my oldest on his back this past week. There's not much adjusting required. Beco carriers are really nice, and easy too. I haven't used one, but I know a lot of people love theirs.
One thing about Mei Tais and Ergos is that they have to be at least 4mos, if not 6 mos, to comfortably spread their legs around you. With a Mei Tai you can tie it higher around your waist so they don't have to spread so wide when they're little. Alternatively you can use a little booster pillow inside to raise them so their legs are going around the narrowest part of your body. This is the same idea as the pillow part of the ergo infant insert.
I have a pouch and a ring sling and they are really easy. The only problem with them is that they are one shoulder carriers so when your LO gets bigger it can put uneven strain on your back. I drool over the silk slings at sakura bloom.
I also have a woven wrap that I love, but it has to be tied on like a moby, so probably not for you.

sorry, this is off topic but, is that an amber teething necklace on your LO? How do you like it?
yup, it is! i got it for her a few weeks ago...i think it makes a difference. She's not hardcore teething yet, but i didn't put it on her over the weekend, and i thought she was going to gnaw my hand off.

We hae a ring sling. W loves the kangaroo hold, falls asleep everytime.
A friend is lending me an ergo to try for a couple weeks.
And a crafty friend is making me a mei tai.
W loves to be worn by his mum.

I think you need to get over how you think LO feels. Spreading the legs out and up is really good for hip development. It took my guy a few minutes to get used to it, and now it's fine. It's definitely safe at this point.
I use an Ergo Sport and a mei tai. I love the mei tai - it works well on the front (with legs around me) as well as a high back carry (harder on my back, but he can see really well) or low back carry (he usually falls asleep, and it's easier for me to get things done).
I would like a ring sling, but I would still aim for the legs higher than the bum. That's how it's most secure and safe.

I thought the high back is not supposed to be used until LO has full control of head, I've read articles where they don't recommend it until at least 6 month. I really want something to carry him on my back that way I can get things done around the house.

I didn't really research it, I guess, I just do it. I can't wear him that way more than about 20-30 minutes anyway because of the way it puts all his weight on my shoulders. He can sit that long happily in the Bumbo, so he seems to have enough head and neck strength. Low back is definitely fine - his head is supported by the carrier. I just feel bad that he can't see anything (which is, of course, me projecting my feelings onto him).
This site has instructions for putting a 3-week old in a mei tai high back carry. Baby wearing really is more of an art than a science - you have to do what you're comfortable with and what works for your baby, and above all you have to feel safe and secure.

Bjorn has a more expensive model called "Synergy" that has lumbar support and is made of a super lightweight mesh. It is awesome. I want one.
I have the classic Bjorn which is uncomfortable after a while but does the job better than anything else I have (Moby - too hot in summer; Ergo - can't comfortably wrap her legs around my torso yet; ring sling - absolutely hated having all the weight on one shoulder, and baby was way too crunched up in the cradle position).
