You can get a congratulatory greeting for your baby's birth signed by the president and Mrs. Obama. Kinda cool, eh?

    I meant to do this!  I have a card from President Reagan in my baby book, would be cool for DS to have one from President Obama.

    From Reagan?! That is so awesome.  

    And, I wonder if you can still do this even though it's months after the child's birth.

    I guess the Canadian Prime Minister doesn't care about babies. You can only get greetings for signifigant anniversaries and birthdays (65+).

    I have one from when I was a baby!  I keep forgetting to request one for DD.

    I knew you could get this for inviting the President to your wedding, but I didn't know they did it for babies, too! It has been a few months and I didn't do annoucements, I assume I can just send the correct information in a letter. It would be really neat to put in her baby book.

    Also, for those interested, the Vatican/the Pope have a similar program if you invite them to your wedding, anniversary, or I think if you also send a baby announcement. I googled:

    For a letter from the Pope:

    Pope Benedict XVI
    Prefettura della Casa Ponifica
    00120 Citta del Vaticano, Italia

    (The Pope should be addressed as "His Holiness" or "Your Holiness")

    ...which is the the same general mail address if you invited the Pope/the Vatican to your wedding.
