DS#1 has always been good about going to bed! we switched to a "big boy bed" (a twin bed) and he did fantastic! never got out of bed. always went right to bed.
We went on vacation and just got back tuesday and now all of a sudden DS#1 doesnt want to go in his bed! he constantly gets out. i tried talking to him, i tried "reasoning" with him, i tried quietly putting him back in bed every time he gets out.I even tried laying with him for a couple mins and humm and pat his back or play with his hair (all the things we do when we cuddle) Tonight I had to put him in bed and sit in the hallway so he wouldnt get out of bed.
HELP! or please tell me hell get back in the swing of things. Im about ready to pull out my hair.
Re: DS not wanting to go to bed. help/advise?
By vacation...did you stay in a hotel room or room-in with him?
If so, he's probably used to having you in the same room with him, (for however many days)...this should switch back very soon, just go back to normal as much as possible, if you didn't do the "extra" things before vacation, stop doing them now.
We went through something like this...I got DD one of those pillows thats supposed to look like a dog, and tuck it into her body, so it simulates someone being next to her...for some reason it offered a lot of comfort to her and bed-times have gotten much easier...
