Trying to Get Pregnant

Pink evaporation line?

Hi, ladies-

A couple of days ago I took a FRER test and got only a control line.  I chucked it in the trash and of course (even though you are not supposed to), I went back and looked at it a couple of hours later.  There was a very pink noticeable test line.  Could it be an evaporation line?  I always thought evaporation lines were colorless?  I have since tested and can't tell if I am seeing a SUPER faint positive or just the dent in the test.  I think I am 11 dpo but did not chart.

Thanks!

  • Wait a few days or try a digi.

  • Sounds like an evaporation line to me. They're not always colorless.  I've seen very light pink evap lines.  Wait a few days and test again.

  • I guess you'll have to test again to be sure... but usually, when the instructions give you a testing time frame - you should stick to it and avoid these situations all together.  Good luck.

  • Like PP said, test again in a couple days, or get a digi.  Reading test results after the timeframe is unreliable.  GL

  • This is how I found out I was pregnant the first time. We had been trying for a very long time and I hated testing at that point so one month I threw away the test before the suggested time had passed. I went back later and saw a faint faint line. I thought it was an evap line and threw it back into the trash.

The next day I tested again (because I am a POAS addict) and it was a clear positive. Good luck!

  • Test in the morning.. if it was a pos test then you should test pos again in the am. Good luck.

  • The new "6 day early" FRER are giving evaps. I had a few. It's gray at first, but after awhile it turns pink. Very disappointed in FRER - they used to be my mainstay!
